2011 Season: Started in 48 games as a freshman in left field and appeared in 50 contests in 2011…swung for first career hit against Adams State on Feb. 18…tabbed first career double against Fayetteville State on March 8 in Florida…charted a career-high three hits against MSU Moorhead on May 1…season-best three RBI came against U-Mary on April 9…drew five walks…tallied a .248 batting average…in 141 at-bats, amassed 35 hits, six runs scored, a pair of doubles and 13 RBI…totaled 34 putouts and seven assists in left field.

High School: Dunsmore hails from one of Minnesota’s strongest high school softball programs in Burnsville High School. Maggie helped lead her prep squad to the Lake Conference Championship in 2009. As a junior, she caught all 23 games with a flawless fielding percentage of 1.000 to help the Blaze chart a 14-0 record in the league and an overall mark of 20-3 this past season. Dunsmore was voted her team’s captain for the 2010 season after garnering a .417 batting average with runners in scoring position in 2009. A 2009 Lake Conference Honorable Mention recipient, Dunsmore also collected All-Tournament team accolades at the North St. Paul Polar Classic.

For the past four summers, Dunsmore has participated with the Minnesota Irish Southwest and Minnesota Sting Elite summer softball programs. She has totaled four Minnesota State Championships while playing at the catcher and infield positions. The Burnsville native has also gained valuable experience playing at four National ASA Tournaments, along with the ASA Hall of Fame and the Colorado Independence Day Tournaments. For her efforts, Dunsmore was selected to the 16U Colorado Independence Day Future Stars All-Star team and she plans to play for the Minnesota Sting Elite 18U team this past summer in 2010.

Personal: The daughter of Tim and Kim Dunsmore and an active member of Student Council for the past three years, Dunsmore plans to major in education and youth counseling at St. Cloud State University.
