2009 Season: Made 12 appearances and four starts from the mound in 2009…her first career start was against NY Institute of Technology on 2/13/09…charted first career strikeout against NYIT on 2/13/09…went 0-5 on the season with an ERA of 5.20…pitched 33.2 innings.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Elmwood Park High…won four letters for the softball team…was a three-time All-Conference selection and two-time Conference MVP…was awarded the Marines Distinguished Athlete Award…won two letters in dance and one in tennis…was a member of her high school’s honor roll.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Jan and Susan Jakobsen…says high school coach Erica Hanrahan is the person with the most influence on her career…says her favorite sports personality is Harry Carey…lists her senior softball season, in which her team won the conference, section and set the school record for wins, as her greatest sports experience…a physical education major.
