2011 Season: Landed on the 2011 Capital One Academic All-District Five College Division Softball Team as a third team selection…completed her collegiate career on a high note, blasting her tenth career homer at Minnesota, Crookston in the second frame to give St. Cloud State a 2-1 lead on May 2…hit her first career grand slam in her final at-bat at Selke Field on May 1 against MSU Moorhead… accumulated a .305 batting average her senior season…started in all 51 games in 2011…in 128 at-bats, Edgerton totaled 39 hits, 22 runs scores, 11 doubles and five home runs…her 18 RBI ranked fifth on the squad…playing in right field, totaled 46 putouts, 10 assists and committed just five errors for a .918 fielding percentage… posted 140 career hits, 17 doubles, one triple and ten home runs in a Husky uniform…in 196 games played, she amassed a .307 batting average and leaves SCSU ranking fifth all-time with 47 stolen bases (47-52)…2011 NSIC Spring Academic award winner for the third consecutive season.
2010 Season: Started in 47 of the 48 games for St. Cloud State in 2010…swung for 40 hits in 135 at-bats and garnered a .296 batting average…played 38 games in the outfield and 12 games behind the plate as a catcher…tied for first on the squad with 18 stolen bases, which ranked third in the NSIC…committed just two errors in the field and was second on the team with a .977 fielding percentage…knocked in a career-high four RBI against Southern Indiana on March 13 in Florida…charted three doubles during her junior stint.
2009 Season: Started in all 59 games as a catcher in 2009…only four errors behind the plate this season…fourth on the squad with a .315 batting average and her three home runs this season were a team co-best…second on the team with 15 (15-of-16) stolen bases and 213 putouts, her 15 stolen bases ranked eighth in the NSIC…garnered a career high three runs scored against Chadron State (2/21/09)…posted career best marks of three hits and three RBI’s three times this season…ranked second in the NSIC, catching 17 steal attempts.
2008 Season: First year catcher from Wausau, Wis….saw time in 38 games and tallied eight starts…hit .320 (8-25) scoring 15 runs and with four RBI…slugged .560...went 6-7 stealing bases…came on strong late in the season and saw batting average rise from .231 on 4/22 to .368 on 4/27 before resting at .320…against Minnesota Duluth on 4/23, went 2-2 at the plate hitting the first and second home runs of her young career…the first was a bases clearing three run homer and the second was a solo shot as she tied a SCSU record with two home runs in a single game…two hits, two runs scored and four RBI in the game were all career highs…a game later earned the start and grabbed two more hits in a career high four at bats against Concordia-St. Paul…got the start in her first career game on 2/15 in an 11-3 win over Northern State…recorded her first career hit on 2/16 as part of a 13-0 rout of NSU…second career start came on 3/1 in Fort Meyers, Fla. in 6-2 win over Univ. of Sciences, Philadelphia where she also saw a career high three at-bats…the following day in a 7-1 win over Siena Heights stole a career high two bases…also against CSP on 4/27, tallied SCSU season, and career high 10 putouts as Heather Trobec and Kaity Strever combined to strikeout 10 Golden Bears…knocked in two runs in the NCC Tournament.
High School: 2007 graduate of Wausau West High School…played for Janna Pingel…three sport athlete who was a four year softball letter winner and Team Captain…named All-Conference Honorable Mention as a sophomore, Second Team All-Conference as a junior and First Team All-Conference as a senior…also a Second Team All-State and Academic All-State honoree during senior season…three time letter winner on the volleyball court while also being named First Team All-Conference following the 2005 season…Academic All-State in volleyball as well…two time letter winner in basketball where she was again named All-Conference and Team Captain.
Personal: Daughter of Scott and Debra Edgerton of Wausau, Wisconsin…says her father has had the greatest influence on her career…lists going to the World Series in New Jersey in 2006 and finishing second as her greatest sports thrill…following World Series run in 2006 was named to the All-World Series team and was a Babe Ruth World Series Women’s Sports Advocate Winner…won four academic letters in high school…winner of the Arthur J. Hageman Scholarship…enrolled in the Honors Program at St. Cloud State…majoring in biomedical science.
