2007 Season: Appeared and started in 57 games...totaled 23 hits, 14 runs and seven RBIs in 124 at-bats...swung for doubles against Wisconsin-Parkside (Feb. 25), Kentucky-Wesleyan (Mar. 5) and North Dakota (April 17)...posted first collegiate hit against Pittsburg State on Feb. 17 in the Husky Dome, and went 2-for-3 at the plate in the game with two hits, two runs scored and one RBI in the 11-2 Husky victory... marked a season high 14 put outs in the field against MSU, Moorhead on April 19...found most playing time at first base.
High School: Graduated from North High School in 2006...coached by Sean Hall...lettered three times in softball...2006 All-State Player...two-time All-Conference recipient...named team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in 2006...KARE 11 Athlete of the Week...team conference champions in 2004 and 2006...named to the Austin All-Tournament Team in 2005 and 2006...2004 MN State Runner-Up...2005 State Consolation...2006 State Consolation Runner-up...team captain in 2006....named team Offensive Player of the Year in 2005...lettered three times in hockey...2006 team conference champs...named team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in volleyball...says being a three-time section champ in softball and participating in the MN State Tournament for three years was her greatest sports thrill.
Personal: Daughter of Ron and Kristi Schanks of North St. Paul...honor roll student...two-year participant in D.E.C.A. (an association of marketing students)...a business marketing major at SCSU.
