2011 Season: Transfer from Iowa Lakes Community College…made an immediate impact on the Husky roster, both as a pitcher and infielder…named to the 2011 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II All-Central Region Second Team...from the circle, Saiz garnered an 8-8 record and 3.79 earned run average…posted first career win in a Husky uniform against Northern State on Feb. 25 in the Husky Dome…struck out a season-best five Adelphi University batters on March 11 in Kissimmee, Florida…totaled 98.0 innings pitched in 2011…offensively, Saiz ranked fifth on the squad with a .305 batting average…blasted a crucial three-run homer against nationally ranked Minnesota State on April 29 to lift the Huskies to an upset 7-6 victory over the Mavericks at historic Selke Field…made 47 starts for the Huskies…swung for a season-high four hits at U-Mary on April 8…her three RBI against Minnesota State (April 29) were a personal best for Saiz…accumulated a .898 fielding percentage.
Before SCSU: Christianne Saiz is a native of Sylmar, California, and transferred to St. Cloud State from Iowa Lakes Community College in the fall of 2010. Saiz pitched for the Iowa Lakes C.C. Lakers the past two seasons in 2009 and 2010 and also served as a utility player. She was named to the All-Region Second Team for her efforts as a utility player in 2010.
High School: In high school, Saiz played for Chatsworth High where she was a two-sport standout athlete in softball and basketball. Saiz gained All-Region Second Team and Rookie of the Year honors during her prep tenure playing softball. In basketball she was an All-Conference player.
