SOCCER: St. Cloud State Ties Upper Iowa 0-0 in Double Overtime

Fayette, Iowa - After 110 minutes of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action, the St. Cloud State soccer team tied the Upper Iowa Peacocks 0-0 Sunday afternoon at Pattison Field. The Huskies (7-4-4, 6-2-2 NSIC) recorded its seventh shutout of the season to remain in sole possession of third place in the conference. The Peacocks move to 7-7-3 and 3-4-2 in the NSIC. In the Huskies fourth double overtime game of the season senior goaltender Elizabeth Kelly made 11 saves as the Peacocks put up 17 total shots. Offensively, St. Cloud State recorded 16 total shots with eight coming on net. Sophomore Chelsey Permenter (Omaha, Neb.) had a team-high five shots in the game, with two coming on net. St. Cloud State will be back at home for its final two home games of the season next weekend. On Saturday, the Huskies will host Northern State at 11 a.m. at Husky Stadium. The Huskies will then play the University of Mary Sunday at 1 p.m., while celebrating senior day at Husky Stadium. KaitlinKelly (West Allis, Wis.), Elizabeth Kelly, Jenn Clifford (Blaine) and Chelsey Scheller (Maple Grove) will all be playing in their final home regular season game.
