2008: Sophomore season …named to the NSIC All-Academic team…played in 14 matches with 13 starts…did not tally any shots on the season while patrolling the Husky defense…a starter in the opening game, suffered injury that would keep her out for the next three games…made first appearance back coming off the bench against Augustana…made return to the starting lineup in the 3-0 win over Wayne State…started on Homecoming against Upper Iowa and led the defense to a shutout in the 0-0 tie…against Concordia helped the Husky defense post a season low, allowing just two shots on goal…helped the Husky defense hold #18 Minnesota State to just five shots on goal in the opening round of the NSIC Tournament.
2007: Of her 13 appearances, five came as starts…had five shots on the season.
Before SCSU: A three-year varsity award and defender at Mounds View, where she played for Sharon and John Swallen...All-State Honorable Mention squad and her team¹s Player of the Year in 2006...two-time All-Conference selection...participated in the Puma/Soccer Express Senior Classic and also gained All-Section honors in 2005 and 2006...team captain in 2005 and 2006...four Academic Awards in soccer...2005 Gatorade Will to Win Athlete Award...state tournament participant in 2005 and 2006...a member of the Blackhawks of St. Paul, U18 Premier club team that won the 2006 Minnesota State Cup championship...National Honor Society and A Honor Roll student at Mounds View...earned two varsity letters in basketball at Mounds View... Ms. Hustle Award...team captain for basketball in 2006-07 and also lettered on the Mounds View track and field team in 2004...Academic All-State in 2007 and Student Athlete of the Year at MVHS.
Personal: She is the daughter of Jeff and Sue Gazich of Arden Hills...enjoys sports, watching movies, spending time with family and friends.
