2008: Sophomore season…named to the NSIC All-Academic Team…one of only three players to start in all 18 matches…took eight shots on the season and landed two on goal…netter one shot on goal in 2-1 win over Minnesota Duluth on 8/30…took two shots and landed one on goal against Minnesota, Crookston…tallied one shot against Augie…started and tallied one shot against Southwest Minnesota…tallied a pair of shots against Bemidji State…led the defense to a shutout on Homecoming in a 0-0 tie with Upper Iowa…took one shot against Northern State…against Concordia in the season finale led a Husky defense that posted a season low for shots on goal allowed, letting up only two in the shutout win…against #18 Minnesota State in the NSIC tournament, helped the Husky defense hold MSU to just 13 total shots and only five on goal.
2007: Notched first career goal against Southwest MN State…played in 18 games, starting 11 contests…recorded six shots for a .167 shot percentage, tops on the team.
Before SCSU: A four-year varsity award and defender at Blaine, where she played for coach John Schlictmann...gained All-Conference notice in 2004,
2005 and 2006...named Best Defensive Player award and served as a teamn captain as a junior and senior...in 2003, Pafko gained her squad¹s Most Improved Player award...'A' Honor Roll student ...played club soccer with the Andover Invaders and Coach Berry Arrowsmith...played four years of varsity hockey. She also gained the Hobey Baker High School Character award at Blaine...four-year member of the Blaine High School track and field squad.
Personal: Parents are Jay and Debora Pafko of Blaine...business major at SCSU...Of note, Pafko's great uncle is baseball legend Andy Pafko, who played in the major leagues with Chicago, and Brooklyn and Milwaukee. He played in four World Series and four All-Star games and was in left field for Brooklyn when Bobby Thompson hit "the shot heard around the world"...enjoys being with family and friends, shopping and being outside.
