2009: Sophomore season...started and played in 18 games as a forward for the Huskies after missing the first two games of the season…was named All-Conference First Team…became the sixth player in school history to be named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Women's NCAA Division II All-Central Region Team as a Second Team selection…named NSIC Player of the Week (10/05/09)…holds the school record with seven game-winning goals in her career coming into the 2010 season...led the team in just about every offensive statically category in 2009 with eight goals, eight assists and 24 total points…she also led the team with 47 shots, with 23 coming on net…recorded five straight game-winning goals to led all Huskies with five game-winners on the season…recorded first points of the season with an assist against Augustana College (09/11/09)…scored a goal and recorded an assist against Wayne State (09/19/09)…scored a goal and recorded a season-high nine shots against Southwest Minnesota State (09/26/09) and scored a goal in the next game against Minnesota State (09/27/09)…scored two goals and put five-of-five shots on net against MSU Moorhead (10/02/09) and followed it with two more goals and two assists against Minnesota, Crookston (10/04/09)…capped off the five-game scoring streak with a goal and an assist against Bemidji State (10/10/09)…posted her second two-assist game against Northern State (10/24/09) and recorded her final point of the season with an assist against the University of Mary (10/25/09)…led the team with an average of 2.61 shots and 1.33 points per game...ranked in the top 10 in numerous NSIC offensive statistical categories, including be ranked sixth in points, fifth in points per game, ninth in goals, 10th in goals per game, fifth in assists, fourth in assists per game, and third in game-winning goals.
2008: First year…named Newcomer of the Year by her teammates...saw time in all 18 matches while earning nine starts…finished fourth on the team in goals with four, second in assists with five, and second in points with 13…42 total shots, 22 shots on goal and two game-winning goals were each the second best mark on the team…after just one season already has career SOG per game mark of 1.33 which in third best in Husky history…22 shots on goal
was sixth best season in school history and five assists tied for ninth best at SCSU…had a career day against Minnesota, Crookston with six shots, all on goal, on her way to a three goal, six point afternoon recording the first three goal performance for SCSU in over two years…added and an assist against MSU Moorhead the next day for a seven point (3G/1A) weekend…named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week on 10/7 following performance vs. UMC and MSUM…three goal game was second best single game in the NSIC in 2008…netted first collegiate point in first collegiate game with an assist on the opening goal in the 2-1 win over Minnesota Duluth on 8/30…took two shots, landing each on goal in 2-1 OT loss to Northern Michigan…tallied three shots and landed one on net against Concordia-St. Paul…tallied two shots on goal against Minnesota, Crookston…took three shots as Huskies out-shot Augustana 20-6…led the Husky offense in 3-0 win over Wayne State tallying career high three points including her first career goal for the game winner…recorded two shots and one on goal against #21 Minnesota State…tabbed third assist of the season in the Huskies 2-0 win over Southwest Minnesota on 9/28… took three shots and nabbed an assist on the Huskies first goal against Minnesota Duluth where they would go on to win 3-2 in OT…took two shots, one on goal, against Bemidji State and was held without a point for the first time in five games…posted team highs with four shots and two on goal in the 0-0 double OT tie against Upper Iowa on Homecoming…landed one of the Huskies three shots on goal against U-Mary…took four shots against Northern State and landed two on goal as the Huskies tied 2-2…took three shots while landing one on goal against Concordia in the season finale.
Before SCSU: Earned a spot on the All State team in 2007…was All Conference in 2006 and 2007, earning an honorable mention in 2005…named team’s best offensive player in ’05 and ’06 before earning team MVP honors in ’07…Was 2007 Minnesota Senior All-Star Game Player of the Game…coached by Brent Gustafson on the North Metro Fusion premier club team…also a member of the basketball team.
Personal: Parents are Jay and Debora Pafko of Blaine...Business Computer Information Systems major at SCSU...On the “A” honor roll…2007 Blaine H.S. Homecoming Queen…sister Jessica is a junior on the SCSU soccer team…Pafko's great uncle is baseball legend Andy Pafko, who played in the major leagues with Chicago, and Brooklyn and Milwaukee. He played in four World Series and four All-Star games and was in left field for Brooklyn when Bobby Thompson hit "the shot heard around the world.
