An Endurance Camp for nordic ski athletes and cross country athletes will be held on Aug. 2-7, 2009 at the Cross Woods Camp in Mason, Wis. The camp will feature leadership from St. Cloud State University nordic ski coach Jeremy Frost and Northland College nordic ski/cross country coach Dave Beeksma. The camp is open to nordic skiers and runners entering ninth grade through 12th grade in 2009-10.

The St. Cloud State University nordic ski team completed its 2009 season with a ninth place showing at the 2009 NCAA Central Region Ski Championships, which were held at the Michigan Tech Nordic Trails in Houghton, Mich. on Feb. 28 and March 1.

There’s more at stake than team and individual titles at the NCAA Central Region Skiing Championships this weekend in Houghton, Mich. The classic race on Saturday and freestyle event on Sunday will help determine which 20 skiers qualify for the NCAA Skiing Championships two weeks later in Rumford, Maine.

Little Falls, Minn. — St. Cloud State University stands in eighth place at the Central Collegiate Ski Association Nordic SKi meet on Feb. 14.  The Huskies captured 32 points in the women's 5K classic race, which was held at Camp Ripley near Little Falls, Minn.  The championship will conclude with freestyle competition on Feb. 15.  

Camp Ripley, Minn. - The St. Cloud State nordic ski team placed eighth at the 2009 Central Collegiate Ski Championships, which was held on the trails at Camp Ripley, Minn.  The Huskies completed the two-day event with 64 points, while Northern Michigan brought home the team title with 187 points.

Cable, Wis. - The St. Cloud State nordic ski team is competing at the FIS SuperTour at Telemark in Cable, Wis. this weekend.  On Jan. 31, the competition featured a 5K classic race.

St. Cloud State completed its two-day run at the Mt. Itasca SuperTour in Coleraine, Minn. on Jan. 24-25.  The first day consisted of a 10K classic race, while the races on the second day were a 10K skate race on the trails at Mt. Itasca.  Cold weather greeted the racers both days, as the race time temperature on Jan. 25 was -1.

Collegeville, Minn. - The St. Cloud State University nordic ski squad competed at the Minnesota College Relay Race on Sunday, Jan. 18, in Collegeville.  The race was held on the trails at St. John's University, and it featured squads from SCSU, St. Benedict's, St. Olaf, Gustavus Adolphus and St. Scholastica.  The race was comprised of a relay team of two skiers both skiing a 6k classical course before finishing with a 5.5 skate race.

The St. Cloud State University nordic ski squad placed fourth at the Saints Invitational on Sunday, Jan. 11, in Collegeville, Minn.  The race was sponsored by St. John's University and the College of St. Benedict.
