Diane Vezendy is a 2007 graduate of Sandy Creek Central School, where she skied on the varsity team for five years. She was a state medalist in Nordic ski from 2004 to 2007, and was the New York Section III champ in 2007. Vezendy also competed at junior nationals from 2004 to 2006.
A member of the National Honor Society, Vezendy also competed on Sandy Creek's track and field and cross country teams during her prep career. She has been active as a coach with the Bill Koch youth ski league in New York, and in 2007, Vezendy received the NYSRA "Rookie Coach of the Year" award for contributions to Nordic skiing.
Vezendy is an Elementary Education major at St. Cloud State. She also earned Student-Athlete Honors at SCSU in 2007-08.
