Women's Hockey Youth Clinic
A Success
St. Cloud, Minn. - The St. Cloud State University women's hockey program offered a free youth hockey clinic for all girls age 14 and under on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the main rink at the
National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minn.
The Huskies had 52 participants from the surrounding towns of St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids, Sartell and Elk River at the clinic. Each participant went home with a Husky back pack, a women's hockey game ticket and an autographed poster.
"It was great to have a large group out for our clinic," said SCSU's head coach Jeff Giesen. "Our players really enjoy working with young female hockey players," added Giesen.
The clinic featured expert instruction from members of the SCSU coaching staff, including third-year head coach Jeff Giesen. St. Cloud State players also were on hand to help with the clinic, sign autographs and skate with the clinic participants.
