WOMEN'S HOCKEY: Meaghan Pezon Gains WCHA Weekly Honor

Madison, Wis. -- St. Cloud State winger Meaghan Pezon, a senior from Eden Prairie, Minn., was recently named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week. Pezon scored two goals and had four assists for six points last weekend to help the host Huskies earn a weekend WCHA series split with visiting North Dakota.
Pezon scored two goals and assisted on two other for four points in the first game of the series last
Friday (Oct. 30), a 5-4 overtime loss for SCSU, marking a new personal career-high points total in a single game.
Then last Saturday (Oct. 31), Pezon came back to produce assists on each of St. Cloud State’s first two
goals en route to a 3-2 victory over the visiting Sioux and their first league win of the season.
In addition to her six scoring points in the series last weekend, Pezon also fired 15 shots on goal – including 10 in the game last Friday – and earned a +1 plus/ minus rating.
Through eight games played this season, Pezon has three goals, five assists and eight points.
