THREE CHEERS FOR HOGAN: Senior forward Caitlin Hogan (Oakdale) was the lone Husky to score on the weekend against Minnesota Duluth, charting St. Cloud State’s first hat trick since senior Holly Roberts (St. Cloud) netted three goals against Vermont back on November 4, 2006. Hogan’s three goals on Saturday night (Oct. 10) were the most ever in a game for the team alternate captain as she leads the squad with six points (5g, 1a) in four games played.
HUSKY HELPERS: Garnering assists on the weekend for SCSU against Minnesota Duluth was Kylie Lane (Roseau), Holly Roberts (St. Cloud) and Diana Karouzos (Chicago, Ill.). Of note, Roberts had two on the weekend and is second on the squad with three points in 2009-10 (0g, 3a).
IN THE NETS: Ashley Nixon (Blaine) had her hands full for the Huskies stopping 39-of-44 Bulldogs shots in the first game of the series. The loss drops Nixon’s record to 1-1-0 and 0-1-0 in the WCHA.
