WOMEN’S HOCKEY: Support Husky Women’s Hockey, Play Golf!

St. Cloud, Minn. – The 2009 St. Cloud State University women’s hockey golf tournament has been scheduled for Saturday, August 29, at the Wapicada Golf Course in Sauk Rapids, Minn.
Both the Husky women’s hockey program and the Center Ice Club sponsor this tournament in means to raise money for the hockey program. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for St. Cloud State women’s hockey and the program is hoping to have the biggest turnout yet by moving the event to a Saturday. There will be a 2:00 p.m. shotgun start. Included in the registration fee are 18 holes of golf, a cart, door prizes and a dinner following the tournament.

"This is our biggest fundraiser in cooperation with the Center Ice Club and has always been a very fun event," said SCSU’s head coach Jeff Giesen. "All of our players are on hand to meet and interact with the golfers. We have great prizes and this tournament really is a great way to kick off the year."
