2008-09: Recorded first two goals as a Husky at Quinnipiac series on Oct. 3-4, scoring a goal in each game…was one of five Huskies on the plus side (+2)…played in 36 games and was 5/10 in PIM…had seven shots on the year, good for a .286 shot percentage...on Feb. 6, tabbed the decisive shootout goal against Minnesota State to earn the Huskies the shootout victory at the National Hockey Center.
BEFORE SCSU: A transfer student from Boston College, where she played hockey on the blue line for the Eagles during the 2007-08 stint...with BC, Lambert appeared in 18 games...originally from Eden Prairie, Minn., Lambert is a 2007 graduate of Eden Prairie High School where she captained the hockey team as a senior while helping lead Eden Prairie to a 57-game win streak spanning from 2005-2007...named Team MVP senior year and Team Defensive MVP junior year... an Associated Press First Team choice, she was also a Ms. Hockey Top 5 finalist and landed herself on the All-Metro First Team... in 2005-06, Lambert helped lead her prep team to the state championship and was also named to the Minnesota State All-Tournament team...the 5-5 defender also tabbed All-Conference accolades twice in high school, along with All-State honors... a multi-sport prep athlete, Lambert also lettered in track and softball at Eden Prairie High, garnering All-Conference Honorable Mention status in track...named her softball team's Rookie of the Year and Offensive MVP.
PERSONAL: Born on 7/14/89...the daughter of John and Bonnie Lambert and a Dreamer and Doer Award winner, Ashlan was an honor roll student at Eden Prairie High and was named to the All-State Academic team...majoring in criminal justice at SCSU.
