2008-09: Posted first career win in first game at Quinnipiac by stopping 16 shots…earned a tie against Brown on Oct. 25…recorded first career shutout by stopping 30 Bemidji State shots on Nov. 22…Appeared against Wisconsin on Dec. 6, stopping six shots…posted 3-2 win over North Dakota on Jan. 10 with 33-save effort…won second straight game with 28 saves against Ohio State on Jan. 16…took loss on Jan. 23 against Wisconsin despite making 33 saves…finished season with 4-4-1 record and a 2.76 GAA…posted a .904 save percentage.
BEFORE SCSU: Coached by Dean Rebeck and 2008 graduate of Balmoral Hall Prep School...backstopped Balmoral Hall with a .950 save percentage and a 1.90 goals against average in 2008...tallied multiple All-Star selections...voted Team MVP at Balmoral Hall Prep...played high school and club soccer...in 2005 she went to the national soccer tournament as the starting goalkeeper.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Ron and Tricia VanDenakker...born on 9/29/90...honor roll student...says her father has had the greatest influence on her career...is pursuing a degree in international business.
