2006-07: Appeared in all 37 games for SCSU during junior season...was second on the team with 30 points (16g, 14a)...was +2 with 29/58 PIM...second on team with five power play goals...had a career high four points (2g, 2a) against North Dakota on Feb. 16, 2007, in the NHC...named to second annual All-WCHA Scholar Athlete team for second time in career....a WCHA Offensive Player of the Week pick...named to All-WCHA Academic team for second straight year...ranks ninth on SCS's all-time scoring list with 64 career points (28g, 36a)...St. Cloud Time's Co-Star of the year.
2005-06: Laura sparked the Huskies with five points (2 g, 3a) against Ohio State in the first round of the WCHA Playoff Championships on March 3-4 to help lead the Huskies into the semi-finals of the WCHA’s for the first time in school history...this season tallied six goals and a career high 13 assists for 19 points...was named to the WCHA All-Academic Team and a member of the First Annual WCHA Scholar-Athlete elite group..was 0 in +/- ratings...has played in 72 career games for SCSU and has totaled 34 points in two seasons (12g, 22a)...is +2 for her career.
2004-05: In her first collegiate season, Fast appeared in all 34 games for the Huskies....her speed helped the Husky attack as she netted 5 goals and notched 9 assists on the season...named WCHA Rookie of the Week during the season...scored first career point against Wayne State, Mich. with a goal in the 7-2 victory on Nov. 12, 2004...second on the team in penalty minutes with 40...had two power play goals on the season.
PRIOR TO SCSU: Played for St. Francis high school coach Terry Larson...was named the hockey team’s Most Valuable Player...also played softball in the Twin Cities for six years... Fast played club hockey for the AAA Bruins and helped led her team to a league crown in 2004.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Tim and Margie Fast of Calgary, Alberta...born on 5/15/86...her parents have had the greatest influence on her career...she is the sister of current SCSU player Tricia Fast...she was on the honor roll three years in high school...is an education major at SCSU.
