2006-07: Kuyper finished the season +6 in 35 games played...scored two points in a game three times...tallied five goals and 10 assists...was 9/18 PIM...scored two game-winning goals.
2005-06: Kuyper notched her first career goal on Dec. 9, 2005 against OSU...in that game, Kuyper tallied three total points (1g, 2a)...on the season, Kuyper had three goals and 11 assists for 14 points...tallied first power play goal against OSU on 12/9/05...was +4 on the season...has played in 72 career games and has scored 17 points (3g, 14a) as a Husky...named WCHA All-Academic...became the first SCSU women’s hockey player to earn a spot at the U.S. National Women’s Festival in Lake Placid, N.Y. in August of 2006...became the first SCSU women’s hockey player to be selected as one of 20 players to play on the U.S. Women’s Under-22 Select Team in a three-game series with Canada from August 24-27, 2006.
2004-05: As a first year, Kuyper became one of the top defenders in the Husky lines... scored her first collegiate point against Niagara University on Jan. 23, 2005 with an assist in the 3-3 OT tie.....had three assists on the season...8-16 in penalties and penalty minutes.
PRIOR TO SCSU: Earned All-State First Team, All-Conference First Team, and was named to the All-Tournament Team at this year's Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament. Represented Minnesota at the 2004 Chicago Showcase and was the fastest skater at 2004 Minnesota Wild High School skills competition... coached by Tim Morris in HS hockey...three-sport athlete in HS (hockey, track and field, and lacrosse), and tallied 8 varsity letters... named captain to the hockey team and Defensive MVP twice... twice named to
All-State team in hockey...All-State Academic member in hockey... named track and field Rookie of the Year as a freshman...named Rookie of the Year in lacrosse as a junior and Mid-fielder of the Year as a senior... earned All-State honors in lacrosse.
PERSONAL: Born on 8/27/86... daughter of Brad and Bambi Kuyper of Eden Prairie, Minn. ...biology (pre-vet) major at SCSU.
