2010-11: Dished out an assist in her first collegiate game at Mercyhurst on Oct. 2…totaled two points as a first year forward for SCSU with her second career assist against Ohio State on Jan. 29…appeared in 34 games during 2010-11 season…8/16 PIM.

Before SCSU: A starting forward for the Roseau Rams the past three seasons, Olson has been coached by Brian Bergstrom since 2006. Last season during her junior stint, Olson tabbed 25 goals and 26 assists in 28 games played. As a sophomore, she totaled 37 points (22g, 15a) in 31 games played to help lead her prep team to the 2008 Minnesota State Hockey Tournament.

Personal: A well-rounded student-athlete, Olson has lettered five times in tennis and once in track and field and golf. An Academic All-State honoree in tennis, Olson was named her team’s Player of the Year and Ideal Teammate. She also ran to the 2007 Section Championship in the 400-meter dash. Olson’s parents are Jeff and Sara Olson of Roseau, Minn.  A member of the National Honor Society and a Presidential Academic Award winner, Olson has served as the Student Council President at Roseau High and is a member of Target Team.
