COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, February 8, 2012 – The National Collegiate Hockey Conference will feature a 24-game conference schedule when the new Division 1 men’s hockey conference begins play in the 2013-14 season.

MADISON, Wis. – The Western Collegiate Hockey Association, through Commissioner Bruce M. McLeod, Associate Commissioner Sara R. Martin, Michigan Technological University Athletic Director Suzanne Sanregret (Chair, men’s league) and University of Minnesota Faculty Representative Perry Leo (Chair, women’s league) today (Feb. 9, 2012) announced that a record total of 96 men’s and women’s student-athletes make up the seventh annual group of WCHA Scholar-Athlete Award recipients. The previous record for honorees in one season was 90 in 2010-11.

Husky goaltender Mike Lee (Roseau/Roseau H.S.) who did not allow an even-strength goal while stopping 72 of 74 shots on goal and leading St. Cloud State University to a two-game conference road sweep at Wisconsin last weekend, is the Red Baron® WCHA Defensive Player of the Week for February 7.

St. Cloud State men's hockey will play at Wisconsin on Saturday, Feb. 4.  The game at the Kohl Center in Madison will start at 8:07 p.m., and the LIVE, IN-GAME BLOG will once again be offered during the game.

Madison, Wis. -(VIDEO)  The St. Cloud State University men's hockey team earned the weekend sweep with a 2-1 victory at Wisconsin on Feb. 4 in Madison, Wis.  The victory before 13,815 disappointed UW fans at the Kohl Center moved the Huskies' record to 12-14-4, 9-10-3 WCHA.
