2007-08: Borgen enjoyed a strong first year with the program at SCSU in 2007-08...named a WCHA Scholar-Athlete award winner in 2008...earned All-WCHA Academic notice as a junior...scored two assists in win over UND on Jan. 4 at the NHC...posted first goal as a Husky on Nov. 3 against Alaska Anchorage...added goal against former teammates at Minnesota on Jan. 12.
Prior to SCSU: A transfer from the University of Minnesota, where he scored three goals and four assists from 2004-06...redshirt at SCSU in 2006-07...played with Lincoln Stars of the USHL from 2002-04, and also completed season at Lincoln in 2005-06...29 goals and 32 assists as a junior player at Lincoln...2003 graduate of Mahtomedi H.S...four-year letterwinner in hockey...All-State, All-Conference and Team MVP as a prep player.
