2010-11: Played in 36 games for SCSU in his first season with the team... recorded 18 points on five goals and 13 assists... tallied two assists in four different games... had a three-point night on Dec. 30 vs Miami, including the game winner in a 4-3 SCSU victory... added another game-winning goal on Jan. 21 at Bemidji State in a 2-1 victory... took home WCHA Rookie of the Week honors in two consecutive weeks (Jan. 5 and Jan. 11)...named MVP of the 2010 Florida College Hockey Classic.

Prior to SCSU:  Prior to SCSU:  A 2008 graduate of Culver Military Academy...lettered in hockey and baseball during his prep tenure at Culver Academy, which is the same school that SCSU’s Matt Chapman and Sam Zabkowicz attended...played junior hockey with Indiana of the USHL in 2009-10, and scored 18g/27 for the Ice...played at Wenatchee in the NAHL during the 2008-09 season...a 2009 draft pick of the Los Angeles Kings (7th round/198th pick).

Personal:  Born May, 27, 1990...son of Alan and Liz Dowd of Huntsville, Alabama...enjoys skiing and the lake...pre-vet major at SCSU.
