2007-08: Team alternate captain in 2007-08...recipient of SCSU’s Sam LoPresti award...wore #8 in 2007-08...played in 35 games, including all four post-season games last winter...scored two goals vs. MTU as a junior.
2006-07: Olson saw action in 31 games as a sophomore...scored two goals and three assists with a +1 rating in 2007-08...hit a career-high with three points (1g/2a) against Minnesota Duluth on Jan. 20 at the NHC...wore #37 in 2006-07.
2005-06: The recipient of the 2005-06 SCSU Roland Vandell Award (Outstanding Freshman)...scored six goals and three assists in 37 games as a freshman...was +6 on the plus/minus...had three game winners - including the game winning shorthanded goal in WCHA playoff game at Colorado College on March 10, 2006...scored first career goal with a SHG against Wisconsin on Oct. 21, 2005 at the National Hockey Center...charted first career assist on Oct. 28, 2006 in win over Minnesota.
Prior to SCSU: Olson was named the Canadian Junior A Player of the Year in 2005...standout player for the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL, Olson is the first-ever SCSU player or recruit to gain this prestigious honor...totalled 32 goals and 70 points in 60 regular-season games as Nanaimo finished first in the BCHL's Island Division, Coastal Conference...captain of the Coastal Conference team in the 2005 BCHL all-star game...named team’s Most Popular Player, MVP and the Coaches’ Award...conference MVP at Nanaimo in 2005...helped Nanaimo win Fred Page and Doyle Cup in 2004... helped lead Tisdale Trojans to the Air Canada Cup midget AAA national championship in 2002...2002 graduate of Tisdale Middle and Secondary School.
