Prior to SCSU: A 2008 graduate of Hill-Murray High School...four-year letterwinner in hockey...All-State award winner...helped Hill-Murray win MSHSL state championship as a prep athlete...two-year letterwinner in baseball at Hill-Murray...played junior hockey with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the NAHL from 2008 to 2011, and also played at Omaha of the USHL in 2009-10...posted a 47-19-8 record during his junior hockey career...carded a solid 2.70 GAA and a .914 save rate at Fairbanks in 2010-11.
Personal: Parents are Mark and Diane Phillippi of Shoreview...enjoys hunting and fishing.
