PLAYER INFORMATION

2010-11: Festler earned All-WCHA Academic honors in 2011...ranked fourth on the team with 24 points, which included 12 goals and 12 assists in 2010-11...led the Huskies with six power play goals in 2010-11...Festler also posted three GWGs for the Huskies...notched four multi-point games, including three assists against UW on Feb. 26, 2011 and 1g/2a against Minnesota State on Jan. 29, 2011...finished with an impressive +5 in 2010-11.

2009-10: Festler earned All-WCHA Academic honors in 2010...ranked fifth on team in 2009-10 with 24 points (11g/13a)...led team with two SHGs and two GWGs in 2009-10...had six multi-points games in 2009-10...finished season with two-goal game vs. Wisconsin in NCAA quarterfinal game at the Xcel Energy Center on Mar. 27...also had two goals in a 4-1 win at Minnesota on Jan. 23...scored GWG vs. Colorado College in 5-4 win on Jan. 29 in the Springs.

2008-09: Festler played in 27 games as a freshman for the Huskies...charted the first goal of his collegiate career on Oct. 10 against Mercyhurst at the NHC...five mult-point games including a career high three points (1g/2a) against MSU-Mankato, Dec. 6 at the NHC.

Prior to SCSU: A 2008 graduate of Little Falls High School, where he skated for coach Tony Couture...a two-time All-State and All-Conference award winner for the Flyers...earned team MVP honors at Little Falls...led the MSHSL with 72g/53a in 2006-07...lettered in football and was named team MVP...led Little Falls to state hockey finals in 2007...played at Lincoln (USHL) in 2007-08, and charted 13g/23a.

Personal: Born Oct. 14, 1989...parents are Kevin and Marie Festler of Little Falls...math/land surveying major and GIS minor at SCSU...enjoys water skiing, wakeboarding, fishing, hunting and snowboarding.
