PLAYER INFORMATION
2008-09: Leads team in scoring and assists in 2008-09...14 multi-point games in 2008-09...has posted three or more points in a game four times this season, including back-to-back four points scoring efforts against Mercyhurst on Oct. 10-11, 2008...has been held off the scoring sheet only nine times during 2008-09 season...eight power play goals and two games winners in 2008-09...has posted goals in victories against nationally ranked Denver, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Minnesota Duluth...in two seasons with the Huskies, Roe already has notched 35 goals, 58 assists and 93 points - which equals best frosh-soph scoring totla by a Husky since team went DI in 1987-88.
2007-08: Roe enjoyed sterling rookie season at SCSU with 18 goals and 27 assists to his credit...named to 2008 All-WCHA Second Team and 2008 All-WCHA Rookie team...selected as SCSU’s Rookie of the Year...had 12 multi-point games, including four points (2g/2a) against Bemidji State on Oct. 27...also posted two goals and one assist in collegiate debut against Canisius on Oct. 12...tallied three assists in win at MTU on Nov. 9...earned WCHA Rookie of the Week honors twice, including his four goal outing against Minnesota on Jan. 11-12...enjoyed impressive 14-game point streak as a freshman...drafted by Los Angeles Kings in 2008 NHL draft...led WCHA rookies in scoring and ranked second in the league with 1.15 ppg...ranked third in nation for scoring among Division I rookies (16th overall).
Prior to SCSU: A 2006 graduate of Park Tudor H.S., Roe played the past three seasons with the Indiana Ice of the USHL...scored over 50 goals during his career at Indiana...selected for USHL All-Star game in 2007...as a high school student, Roe lettered in lacrosse for four seasons...All-State and All-Conference lacrosse player...also lettered and gained All-Conference notice in soccer...played on the U-16 national soccer team.
Personal: Born Feb. 22, 1988...parents are Larry and Julie Roe of Vienna, Va...business and finance major at SCSU...enjoys fishing, golf and going to the lake.
