2007-08: Barta saw increased playing time throughout the season, as he skated in 30 games for the Huskies during 2007-08...played in all four postseason games for the Huskies - including NCAA Regional game against Clarkson.
Prior to SCSU: A 2005 graduate of Moorhead H.S., where he played for coach Dave Morinville...ranked among top 10 defenders in the USHL for scoring at Waterloo in 2006-07 (8g/29a)...helped lead Waterloo to 2007 Clark Cup finals...two-year letterwinner in hockey at Moorhead...selected to Team Miinnesota (Showcase)...helped Moorhead advance to MSHSL championship game two years in a row...also lettered in football and track and field...All-Section award winner in football...named to Team Minnesota Select squad.
Personal: Born April 3, 1987...parents are Rick Barta and Susie Jordan...enjoys hunting, fly fishing, tennis and hanging out with friends.
