MEN'S GOLF: Evan Peters Named NSIC Player of the Week

St. Paul, Minn. -- St. Cloud State senior Evan Peters (Glenwood) has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the NSIC Commissioner's Office.
Peters shot a final round 73 to finish one over par and claim medalist honors in the SCSU Husky Classic held Sunday and Monday at the St. Cloud Country Club. The Huskies finished second overall in the 11-team field.
Peters shot even par in the first round and his steady second round gave him a one stroke win over Jordan Dockter of Minnesota State.
The Husky Classic was the second competition of the fall season for Peters and his St Cloud State teammates. In the fall opener held at the Bemidji Town and Country Club on Sept. 13-14, Peters tied for 19th place with a five over par score of 149 (77-72).
The Huskies return to competition atthe NSIC/RMAC Crossover to be played at Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothenburg, Nebraska, on Sept. 27-28.
