WOMEN'S GOLF: Huskies Finish Tenth at Wildwood Lodge Invitational

Lake Elmo, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State women's golf team placed tenth in the Wildwood Lodge Invitational hosted by Concordia University, St. Paul at Tartan Park Golf Course in Lake Elmo today. The Huskies shot a team score of 712 (351-361) and Winona State won the team title with a 639 (319-320).
St. Cloud State was led by sophomore Emily Kerber (St. Cloud) who shot a final round 88 for a two-day total of 172 to finish tied for 35th place. Senior Nicole Peters (Cottage Grove) shot rounds of 90-85=175 to tie for 41st place.
Senior Lauren Haynie (Brooklyn Park) shot consistent rounds of 93-93 to tie for 60th place with a 186. Senior Krista Kalthoff (Albany) tied for 63rd place with rounds of 94-95, and senior Shannon Moran (Bloomington) finished in 68th place with scores of 101-99.
St. Cloud State returns to the links on Sept. 26-27 when the Huskies will compete in the St. Ben's Invitational. The Invite will be played at Wapicada Golf Course in Sauk Rapids and Blackberry Golf Course in Sartell.
