HUSKY GOLF CLASSIC: Huskies Four Shots Back, Three Players in Top 5

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State men's golf team is in third place after the first day of the SCSU Husky Golf Classic being played on the St. Cloud Country Club. The Huskies are ten over par 298 and just four shots behind the team leader Bemidji State. The Beavers carded a 294 in the first round and Minnesota State University, Mankato is in second place with a 296.
Chris Curb of Bemidji State is the individual leader. He shot a two under par 70 on the 6,676 yard layout. The final round of the Classic will begin at 8:30 a.m. Monday morning.
Three St. Cloud State players are in the top four if the individual standings led by sophomore Beau Anderson (Cottage Grove). Anderson shot a one under par 71 and is one stroke behind the leader. Sophomore Jordan Dickey (Faribault) and senior Evan Peters (Glenwood) are tied for third after shooting even par 72's.
The Huskies have two teams entered in the tournament. The St. Cloud State Black team is in fourth place with a team score of 307. Dickey is the individual leader of the Black team.
