WOMEN'S GOLF: Huskies Win Dual with St. Ben's

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State women’s golf team posted a win over the College of St. Benedict in a non-conference match Monday afternoon at the Territory Golf Club in St. Cloud. The Huskies posted a team score of 323 while the Blazers posted a 339. The team score was the lowest of the year for the Huskies.
St. Cloud State junior Lee Zutz (Red Lake Falls) was the individual medalist as she posted a career low three over par 75 with a 38-39 and birdied three holes on the day. Teammate Lauren Haynie (Brooklyn Park), also a junior, placed second after carding a collegiate low score of 38-39 for a 77.
Junior Krista Kalthoff (Albany) placed fifth for the Huskies with an 84. Junior Nicole Peters (Cottage Grove) tied for sixth with an 87. Junior Kayla Nesvold (New Ulm) shot an 89 and tied for eighth place. Junior Shannon Moran (Bloomington) rounded out the Husky scoring and finished in 11th place after shooting a 95.
The College of St. Benedict was led by Kathryn Hauff who shot a 79 to finish in third place. April Dammann placed fourth for the Blazers after shooting an 81.
