Ramsey, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State men's golf team tied for fourth at the Twin Cities Classic played today at The Links at Northfork in Ramsey. The Classic was scheduled to be a 54-hole tournament on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Due to the weather it was shortened to today's 18-hole round.

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The overnight snow has altered the St. Cloud State University men's and women's golf schedules for this weekend. The first 36 holes of the women's Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) tournament to be played today and tomorrow at Hillcrest Golf Club in St. Paul has been cancelled. The tournament will be played in the spring. On the men's side, the first day of the three-day Twin Cities Classic to be played at the Elk River Golf Club has been cancelled. They are scheduled to re-group tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. Both tournaments are the final competition of the fall schedule.

St. Cloud, Minn. -- (WATCH VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS AT END OF STORY) The St. Cloud State women's golf team placed second at the SCSU Husky Classic held Sunday and Monday at the St. Cloud Country Club. The University of Manitoba led by medalist Mindy Lichtman won the team title with a score of 658. The Huskies finished at 667.

Hastings, Minn. -- Through two rounds of the 2009-10 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) men's golf championship, St. Cloud State finds themselves in second place. The Huskies trail Minnesota State University, Mankato by 20 strokes in a championship format that features a total of five rounds with the next three to be played in the spring.

Hastings, Minn. -- St. Cloud State first year golfer Billy Barnhart (Cottage Grove) shot a three-under par 69 and holds a three-stroke lead following the first round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Golf Championship being played at the Hastings Country Club.

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State women's golf team will host the SCSU Husky Classic on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 3-4 at the St. Cloud Country Club. The Husky Classic will feature five teams from the upper midwest. The players will tee off at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and 8:30 a.m. on Monday.

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State women's golf team won the seven team St. Benedict Fall Classic played at Wapicada Golf Course in Sauk Rapids and Blackberry Ridge Golf Club in Sartell on Saturday and Sunday. The Huskies posted rounds of 334-341 for a 675 total and distanced themselves from second place University of St. Thomas as the Tommies posted a 346-345-691.

Gothenburg, NE -- St. Cloud State senior golfer Evan Peters (Glenwood) is one of three players tied for the lead heading into today's final round of the NSIC/RMAC Regional Crossover. The 54-hole event is being played at the Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothernburg, NE.
