Aberdeen, SD -- The St. Cloud State women's cross country team placed ninth at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championships run Saturday at the Lee Park Golf Course in Aberdeen, SD. Augustana College won the team title with a score of 32 and Morgan Place of the University of Minnesota Duluth was the individual winner finishing in a time of 21:47.
St. Cloud State was lead by first-year runner Keely Rubash (New Lisbon, WI) who finished 30th overall in a time of 24:22 and sophomore Brittney Moffat (Coon Rapids) placed 31st overall in 24:30. Other Huskies who finished in scoring position included sophomore Paula Marozas (Andover) in 59th place overall in a time of 25:43. Junior Andrea Borden (Merrifield) placed 62nd overall in 25:47 and first year Jackie Rich (Rogers) placed 65th overall in 25:55. First year Nichelle Rubash (New Lisbon, WI) finished 74th overall in 26:15 and Emily Doty (Minneapolis) placed 77th in 26:32.
Three more SCSU women participated in the NSIC Championships. Those runners included: Libbie Sanders (80th/26:39.70), Andrea Neugebauer (89th/27:23.20) and Amanda Schilling (91st/27:32.25).
