Aberdeen, SD -- The St. Cloud State men's cross country team placed fourth at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Championships (NSIC) run Saturday morning at the Lee Park Golf Course in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Sophomore Hady Cherif (Minneapolis) led the Huskies with a tenth place finish in a time of 26:28 and earned First Team All-Conference honors.
Minnesota State University Mankato won the team title with 22 points and the Mavericks James Krasja was the individual winner, finishing in a time of 25:29. The Huskies tallied 112 points for fourth place.
St. Cloud State first year runner Kyle Neumann (Andover) was just shy of earning Second Team All-Conference honors, has he placed 21st overall in a time of 26:52. Sophomore Dan Allen (Waite Park) was just behind his teammate Neumann, placing 22nd in a time of 26:56 and first year Shamus O'Grady (Coon Rapids) was 26th overall in 27:08. Junior Benjamin Wagner (Buffalo) finished out the team scoring with a 38th overall finish in 27:45.
First year runners Luke Jordan (Maple Plain) and Lucas Pedersen (Richfield) were the next to finish for the Huskies. Jordan finished 52nd overall in 28:20 and Pedersen placed 68th overall in 28:53.
Five more Huskies rounded out the line-up for SCSU. Those runners included: Dave Pieper (73rd/29:10.55), Kevin Andersen (75th/29:18.95), Brandon Wren (82nd/29:54.90), Tim Moes (86th/30:23.85) and Robert Aderman (90th/31:16.40).
