2010: Junior season… Competed in five events for the Huskies… Finished the Jim Drews Invite in 27:07.3, which is a personal best for Luke… Placed 41st at the NSIC Championships, crossing the finish line in 28:17.96… Participated in the Central Regionals (10K), placing 92nd with a time of 35:11.92.
2009: Sophomore season...appeared in one race for the Huskies on Oct. 10 at the Pine Hill Invite...placed 26th overall, crossing the finish line in 28:26.00.
2008: First year...Windholz tallied his personal best time of 29:28 at the South Dakota State Classic...was unable to compete at the NSIC Championships or the 2008 North Central Regional Championships.
High School: 2008 graduate of South St. Paul High School…coached by Ryan Key, Randy Bjorklund, and Manuel Spriegl…won two letters in cross country and was a two-time MVP for the Packers…garnered four letters in track & field, earning three MVP awards and was a three-time All-Conference honoree…also lettered on time in football.
Personal: Son of Martin and Barbara Windholz of South St. Paul…lists Ryan Key as the person with the greatest influence on his athletic career…says his greatest sports experience was receiving two All-Conference awards in the 800m and 4x400m as a senior…undeclared on a major.
