2010: Junior season… Competed in five events for the Huskies in 2010… Placed 2nd at the Saint John’s Invite, running a time of 26.44… Had a 12th place finish at the Roy Griak Invite, crossing the finish line in 26:07… Put in a personal best at the Jim Drews Invite with a time of 25:06.8, earning him a 11th place finish… Placed 11th at the NSIC Championships where he recorded a time of 26:33.86… Competed in the Central Regionals (10K), where he placed 49th, with a time of 33:28.42… Received ALL-NSIC Second Team honors.

2009: Sophomore season...ran a personal best time of 26:15.1 at the NSIC Championships on Oct. 24 to earn a 7th place finish and a spot on the All-NSIC First Team...placed 39th at the Central Region Championships on Nov. 7, crossing the line at 33:35.9...was a leader for the Huskies, appearing in all five races in 2009.

2008: First year...A transfer from Iowa State University, Neumann saw action in all but one race last year as a rookie and posted his personal best time of 26:52 at the NSIC Championships…member of the Husky regional squad.

Before SCSU: Spent 2007 season attending Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

High School: 2007 graduate of Andover High School where he was coached by Ken Hertz, Eric Johnson, and Scott Clark…won two letters in cross country for the Huskies…a team captain, he was also a two-time All-Conference honoree…earned three letters in track & field and was named All-Conference four times as well as rookie of the year…twice ran the two-mile at the state meet…holder of two school records…four sport athlete who participated in soccer and cross country skiing as well…four-time academic letter winner.

Personal: Son of Jason Neumann of Andover and Stephanie Helberg of Ham Lake, Minnesota…lists grandfather Louis Grailer as the person with the greatest influence on his athletic career…greatest sports thrill was running the mile in a personal best time of 4:24…majoring in English.
