Cross Country Coaches
Brian Sebera
Interim Head Coach
St. Cloud State University Director of Athletics Dr. Morris Kurtz announced August 9th that Brian Sebera will serve as the interim head men’s and women’s cross country and track and field coach for the 2011-12 season.
Sebera replaces Seth Mischke who resigned to take the head men’s and women’s track and field coach position at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D.
A former sprinter for the Huskies, Brian Sebera has spent the last six seasons coaching the St. Cloud State men’s and women’s sprinters. He has coached five NCAA Division II All-Americans, six North Central Conference Champions, two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Champions and many All-NCC and All-NSIC finishers.
As a runner for the Huskies, Sebera ran the 100 and 200 meter races and relays. He spent three seasons on the track team before an injury derailed his return to the track.
A native of Uganda, Africa, Sebera moved with his family as a child to Toronto, Ontario in Canada. He moved to Minnesota to attend St. Cloud State University where he completed his bachelor’s degree in sport management and therapeutic recreation (2005) and master’s degree in sport management (2007). He is currently working on an Ed. D. in Higher Education Administration (2011).
Sebera resides in St. Cloud with his wife Brandy, daughter Aissa, and is expecting his second child this February.
