2010: First year… Competed in four races for SCSU in his rookie season… Finished in 9th place at MSU’s Caty’s Run (6K), with a time of 20:46… Ran at the NSIC Championships and placed 37th overall, finishing the race in 27:52.91, a personal best… Placed 100th overall at the Central Regionals (10K), crossing the finish line in 35:45.67.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Cretin-Derham Hall H.S., where he ran under coach Chris Babcock...he was a four time letterwinner in cross-country and track & field…was named All-Conference, captain, MVP and most improved in cross-country.

Personal: Son of Mike and Sara Mountain of St. Paul...names his father as the person with the greatest influence on his running career… lists running a 16:18 time at conference tournament as his greatest sports thrill…likes to hunt, play video games and pick up games as his hobbies outside of athletics…major is undecided at SCSU.
