2010: Sophomore season… Participated in three races in her second season with the Huskies… Ran a personal best time at the Roy Griak Invite, finishing the race in 26:13.2 and placing 148th overall… Finished in 18th place at the Pine Hill Invite, crossing the finish line in 26:42.

2009: First year...appeared in all five races for the Huskies during her rookie stint...ran a personal record time of 23:17 at the St. Olaf Invite on Sept. 19 to finish in eighth place...placed 40th at the NSIC Championships on Oct. 24 (24:26.7) and finished in 25:16.4 at the Central Region Championships on Nov. 7, good for 104th place.

High School: 2009 graduate of Osakis High School…coached by Lee Vanyhuis and Chris Dague…six time letterwiner in track and field for the Silverstreak’s…placed eight times in state competition in high school…won the state championship in the 1600m…was apart of a state championship 4 x 400m team…was name conference and team MVP…best time in the 1600M (5:08) and 800M (2:17).

Personal: Daughter of Scott and Becky Kern of Sauk Centre…lists high school teammate Rachael Grundman as the person with the greatest influence on his career…says being apart of the 4 x 400 state championship team her senior season and winning state as her greatest sports thrill…also enjoys horseback riding in her free time…majoring in communication sciences and disorders at SCSU.
