2010: First year… Participated in two races for the Huskies in his rookie season… Had a 15th place finish at the Pine Hill Invite, finishing with a time of 29:10… Placed 13th, with a time of 21:42 at MSU’s Caty’s Run (6K).

Before SCSU: Went to North Hennepin Community College in 2009.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Stoneman Douglas  H.S., where he played under coach Steve Kalos...he was a three time letterwinner in cross-country and four time letterwinner in track & field for the Eagles…was named to the All Sun-Sentinel team as an honorable mention.

Personal: Son of Ron and Cindi Zilka of Maple Grove...names his cross-country coaches as the people with the greatest influence on his running career…lists running state for cross country and running at Foot Locker South as his greatest sports thrill…his hobbies include hanging out with friends, bowling, snowmobiling, playing football and jet skiing…major is undecided at SCSU.
