2009: Appeared in three races for the Huskies during his rookie stint in 2009...ran a personal best 28:12.00 on Oct. 10 at the Pine Hill Invite to finish in 24th place.

High School: A 2009 graduate of White Bear Lake H.S., where he ran under Dan Kovacich...he lettered three times in cross country and nordic ski, while lettering twice in track & field...earned All-Conference honors and participated in the state tournament in cross country...earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors in nordic skiing.

Personal: Son of Frank Macalus and Austina Geiger...lists going to state in cross country as his biggest sports thrill...enjoys hunting outside of athletics...a business managment major at SCSU.
