Former Standout Bonnie Henrickson Signs Contract Extension at Kansas

Lawrence, Kansas- Former St. Cloud State women's basketball standout and Hall of Fame member Bonnie Henrickson has signed a three-year contract extension to continue her coaching career at Kansas.
Henrickson played basketball under then head coach Gladys Ziemer from 1981 to 1985, and was a three-time Northern Sun Conference All-Conference player. She left St. Cloud State as the second leading career scorer with 1,731 points and second leading career rebounder with 995 boards. She also held several single game and season records. Henrickson still ranks in the top ten in nine career categories and played in 122 career games, the most by a Husky. She was inducted into the St. Cloud State Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996.
Henrickson has been the head women's basketball coach at Kansas since 2004. Last season her Jayhawks advanced to the championship game of the Women's NIT and ranked in the top 25 in NCAA attendance. Prior to becoming the head coach at Kansas, Henrickson enjoyed a successful seven-year run as the head coach at Virginia Tech.
