WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Future Huskies to Play in Girls Basketball Coaches All-Star Game

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The future of St. Cloud State University women's basketball will be well represented at the 2009 Girls Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Series, April 24-25. Four future Huskies will play in the series.
St. Cloud State has a player named to the All-Star series in every class. Jessica Benson of Grand Meadow will play on the Class A team. Nicole Anderson of Cannon Falls High School will play on the Class AA team. Jennifer Dowd of Rogers will play on the Class AAA team and Jamie Noonan of Richfield will play on the Class AAAA team. All four players have signed letters of intent with the Huskies and will be on campus beginning next fall.
Benson signed with the Huskies this week while the other three players were early signees in St. Cloud State's first recruiting class under head coach Lori Fish.
The All-Star Series will be played on Friday (tonight) at 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Macalester College in St. Paul. The 6:00 p.m. tilt will feature Class A vs. Class AAA. The 8:00 p.m contest will pit Class AA vs. Class AAAA.
On Saturday, the third place and Championship game will be played at Edina High School. The third place game is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. followed by the championship at 3:30 p.m.
