2007-08: Junior season…co-captain and receipent of the Best Defense team award…starter in all 28 games averaging a team best 31.4 minutes/game…team’s third leading scorer, averaging 11.5 ppg…among regular players, charted team second best average from behind the arc, hitting three’s at a .308 (16-52) clip…also shot .426 (89-209) from the field and team best .830 (127-153) from the charity stripe…only Husky to go to the line over 100 times…led SCSU with 94 assists and pulled down 4.1 rebounds/game…led SCSU and the NCC with 77 steals…against nationally ranked Glenville State on 12/8/07 in Halenbeck Hall, charted career high six steals in the 84-65 Husky victory…one of just two players to score in every game and hit double figures in 20 games…from 11/23 to 12/28, hit double figures for scoring in nine of 10 games, with the single digit game being a nine point performance…scored a career high 18 points against South Dakota on 2/26 and tied a career high two days earlier with eight rebounds Nebraska-Omaha on 2/14…in 12 games, finished perfect at the free throw line, including a 10-10 performance in 2/16 at the Huskies went a perfect 22-22 as a team...in four games, led the Huskies in scoring.
2006-07: Sophomore season…Plagued by injury, co-captain, Tacheny sat out for the majority of conference action. She charted her career high 16 points against MSU Moorhead on 12/16/07. Against Minnesota State on 1/11/07 she charted a team high 10 assists. She started in all 17 of her appearances this season…received the Most Hustle Award.
2005-06: Transfer student from the University of Minnesota Duluth...Tacheny has been practicing with the Huskies for two seasons.
High School: A 2004 graduate of Woodbury H.S...coached by Dave Preller...played on four state tournament teams (2004-3rd, 2003-1st, 2002-4th)...member of the All-Tournament team in class 4A in 2004 and 2003...Metro coaches defensive player of the year in 2004...selected to the metro coaches All-Metro Defensive team in 2004 & 2003...Pioneer Press All-State Team 2004 & 2003...member of 2004 Star Tribune All-Metro team...nominated to the McDonald’s All-American team...a multi-sport athlete winning MVP in soccer and letters in track and field, and cross country.
Personal: Daughter of John and Pat Tacheny of Woodbury...sport management and recreation major, and coaching minor.
