High School: 2007 graduate of Spring Lake High School…coached by B.J. Mayer…four sport athlete lettering in basketball, softball, tennis, and volleyball…as a senior garnered numerous accolades for her play on the basketball court…named to the class AAA All-Tournament team…an All-Conference performer along with being First-Team All-Northwest Iowa and First-Team AAA All-District and All-Region…also an All-State and two time All-Conference player on the diamond where her team won the state championship in 2004…on the tennis court was a two time All-Conference performer and two time state qualifier…in 2006 was seventh in state in doubles…named All-Conference as a senior volleyball player…also a four year member of the Academic Honor Roll.
Personal: Daughter of Todd and Jill Gerking of Spring Lake, Iowa…her sister Rachel is the person with the greatest impact on her career…lists Michael Jordan as her favorite sports personality…greatest sports thrill was her teams second place finish at the Iowa Girls Basketball Championships…majoring in business at SCSU.
