The Heather Miller File
2006-07: Sophomore season…Miller had a growing season, stepping in as a starting guard half way through the year and staring nine games. She averaged over 16 minutes per game, while defending some of the nation’s best shooters. Miller charted a career high 11 points against both the University of Alaska and Minnesota State. On Feb. 3, Miller charted a career high five assists. During her sophomore season she averaged 3.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
2005-06: Saw action in 24 contests...averaged 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per game...saw an increase in playing time as season progressed....scored a career high six points twice...the two sport athlete participated in SCSU track and field in the spring and took top places in field events throughout the season.
High School: Miller is a 2005 graduate of Columbus High School where she played for coach Jeff Schweitzer…was a three-year letterwinner in basketball, where she averaged 14.0 ppg, 7 rpg, 3.3 assists, and 3.2 steals…received All-Conference accolades two times…named All-State Honorable Mention…was named her conference’s Player of the Year her senior year…helped lead her team to three consecutive conference championships and two regional championships…was a member of the State Championship team her sophomore year…four-year letterwinner in cross country, where she was named All-Conference twice…three-year letterwinner in track…named team MVP twice…holds school records for triple jump, long jump, and 1600 meter relay.
Personal: Daughter of Gary and Michelle Miller of Sun Prairie, Wisc…was treasurer of Student Council for four years…NHS secretary…WIAA Scholar Athlete…graduated in the top ten of her class…nursing major at SCSU
