2008-09: First year . … played in all 31 games … played 12.5 minutes per game for a total of 388 minutes on the season … one of six players to appear in every game … scored 3.9 points per game and grabbed 2.0 rebounds per game … tallied 26 steals (0.8 spg), 23 assists (0.7 apg), and eight blocks (0.3 bpg) … one of just three players to shoot 50% or better on the season from the field, finishing at .500 (45-of-90) … shot .718 (28-of-39) at the free throw line … was .200 (4-of-20) from three-point range … saw the first action of his career in the season opener, playing nine minutes and notching first career assist … grabbed first career rebound the following night (Nov. 16), finishing with two … pulled down a career high six rebounds on Dec. 20 … scored first career points on Nov. 29, finishing with two and also tallied first career block the same night … scored a career high 15 points on Jan. 23, going a perfect 5-of-5 from the field as well as 5-of-6 from the free throw line … 5-of-5 field goal mark stands as Huskies season high … played a career high 27 minutes on Jan. 24, finishing with 12 points … two games were part of a career long 13-game scoring streak that included three straight in double figures … went 3-of-5 from three-point range on his way to 10 points on Dec. 13 … dished out a career high four assists in the same game … blocked a career high three shots on Feb. 14.
High School: 2008 graduate of St. Michael-Albertville High School…coached by Tm Anderson…gained 10 total letters in high school in basketball, football and track & field…an All-Conference performer and 1,000 point scorer on the hardwood where he gained three letters…in the gridiron also letter three times and was named All-Conference…was named the Mississippi 8 most valuable receiver and defensive back…also gained two letters on the track where he was named freshman of the year…Academic All-State…Honor Roll member.
Personal: Son of Tom and Cathy Rothstein of St. Michael…lists his father as the person with the greatest influence on his athletic career…lists the 2007 football section championship at SCSU’s Husky stadium as his greatest sports thrill…majoring in pre-physical therapy and athletic training.
