MEN'S BASKETBALL: Husky Hoopster's Golf Tournament A Success

Sauk Rapids, Minn. -- Hosted by the St. Cloud State men's basketball program, the 2010 Husky Hoopster's Golf Tournament was a success, as 153 golfers showed up to support the Huskies on Friday, August 6, at the Wapicada Golf Course.
With perfect weather to golf in on Friday afternoon, Husky greats such as Reggie Perkins (1984-88), Forrest Witt (1998-03), Tom Decker (1972-76), Dan Hagen (1977-81), David Dreas (2004-08) and Terry Kuechle (1984-88) showed up to take part in the festivities, put on by St. Cloud State's all-time winningest head coach, the legendary Kevin Schlagel.
"I'd like to thank all the participants for coming out to our annual golf tournament," said Schlagel. "It was a perfect day for golf, and the Husky Hoopsters put on a great event. Our program truly appreciates everyone's support and we look forward to yet another successful season on the court in 2010-11."
Of note, former St. Cloud State University men's basketball standout Dan Hagen was recently inducted into the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Hall of Fame this summer. To view that complete story, click here.
