2008-09: Junior season … played in 18 games … played 10.0 minutes per game … scored 2.7 points per game … finished season with 27 rebounds (1.5 rpg), 29 assists (1.6 apg), nine steals (0.5 spg), and one block … shot .405 (15-of-37) from the field and .429 (3-of-7) from three-point range … shot .762 (16-21) at the free throw line … mark of .429 from long range was second best on the team … saw first action as a Husky in the season opener on Nov. 15 … scored first career points on Nov. 16 … hit double figures for the first time on Nov. 29 with 11 points, while also playing a career high 18 minutes … grabbed a career high four rebounds in the same game and matched it again on Dec. 12 … also on Dec. 12 dished out a career high five assists. .
Before SCSU: Played two years of basketball at Wilbur Wright Community College in Chicago, Illlinois…earned All-Conference, All-Region and All-American honors…averaged 13 points per game.
High School: 2006 graduate of Taft High School…coached by Nick Nishibayashi…All-Conference performer…Academic Honoree.
Personal: Son of Hakeen and Afaf Abdelfattah of Chicago…lists his parents as those with the greatest influence on his career…majoring in journalism.
